Veterans Community Project Fundraiser vlog Transcript
Here, recently, Bickimer Homes participated in a fundraiser for Veterans Community Project. The idea was to design, build and auction-off playhouses during this year’s Kansas City Home Show. The fundraiser was a huge success, raising $25,000. Thank you to our participating subcontractors and suppliers, and especially all of you who participated in the auction.
Nearly all of us have someone in our family history who served our country. We count our blessings when they come home to us. We mourn when they do not. We pray for those who come home, but come home wounded physically or mentally, their war continuing long after they’ve left the battlefield in some distant land.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Veterans Community Project, or VCP, this nonprofit organization provides transitional housing and services to homeless veterans in the Kansas City area. Bickimer Homes has been building beautiful houses for 37 years across Johnson County, Kansas. VCP’s houses, though small in stature, are every bit as beautiful.
Our company motto is building dreams on a solid foundation. VCP’s motto could easily be the same.
