In August Bickimer commenced construction on our second House for Hope. We have completed framing, and already have received a number of donations. Many of our subcontractors have been very generous. We are raising money for The Promise of Learning Foundation. To learn more about The Promise of Learning, go to their website at www.promiseoflearning.com. The following letter was sent to our subcontractors requesting their participation in this worthwhile endeavor.

Re: House For Hope II

Dear Friends:

This year we have been extremely blessed to have the Kansas City, Ks. construction projects as well as an increasing number of sales and new starts in Johnson County. Tommy and I thought it appropriate to share our good fortune with those that are less fortunate. We have designated the house start at 16524 Marais as our second House For Hope. Many of you participated in the first fundraiser some 5 years ago. We’ve all experienced difficult economic times since then, and it hasn’t been until this year’s successes that Tommy and I felt we could prevail upon your generosity by participating again in this event.

Bickimer Construction will match dollar for dollar our subcontractor and supplier donations to The Promise of Learning Foundation. These donations can be in the form of a cash contribution, donated labor and materials, or discounted invoicing. Upon the completion of the home, we will notify everyone as to how much money we raised and how The Promise of Learning will be distributing those funds. We know times are still difficult, but anything you can do for this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Tom Bickimer
